During this period RYCP raised funds of €80,000 and incurred operating expenses of €29,000 resulting in a surplus of €51,000. This figure does not include grant money for capital expenditure or the annual grant from the Department of Social Protection for Community Employment.

FINANCIAL HIGHLIGHTS…the Annual Picture.

In 2009, main sources of income were a cash donation of €6,000 from RCDC (the Board of the Ballagh centre) along with a contribution of €14,000 towards the purchase of the Kabin. A Race night and Sponsored Walk raised €4,411. Approximately €7,000 was spent on the car park and €4,200 towards the purchase and upgrade of the KABIN.

Site Development Phase I:

In 2010 Income sources were: the concert €13,852 and sponsored walk €1,250. Site development including draining, fencing and the car park amounted to approx €60,000 which was paid for from income raised, capital grants of €33,000 and a loan of €20,000 from the Parish Council, which was fully repaid in 2012.

Site Development Phase II:

In 2011 the main sources of income were: concert €9,600 plus sports days, race night, car boot sales all of which raised €1,895. This money was used as match funding for grant of €37,000 from Leitrim Development co. for further site development costing €52,000 that included retaining wall, kerbing and paths.

In 2012 a third concert raised €6,164 and a walk and scrap metal collection €2,508. The parish contributed €2,000 towards parish maintenance.

In 2013 the Heritage Festival raised €6,898, the Duck Race €1,890 and the dance and race night €2,635. In addition equipment for the community centre to the value of €16,827 was purchased with the assistance of grant aid of €10,860 from LEADER through Leitrim Development Co.
